“ Haiku Review Lomo is done right, Perfect portions, flavors dance Peru plus Guate Go for the.... Bandeja Guatemalteca ”
“ Pro Tip: YES to the aji. Happy Hour also continues until 7 PM. Although, come on, $10 for a Gallo (Guatemalan lager) is too expensive. PS: Most of these poorer reviews are related to service. Food is worth it. I have been coming here for years and make sure to visit any time I'm back in Stamford. Without hesitation, Old House is far better than Fiesta. An incredible fusion between Peruvian and Guatemalan cuisine. Whether it's a desayuno tradicional or a lomo/pollo saltado, I highly recommend a bite without the aji amarillo sauce, and then a bite with the sauce. Two different bites, both great!! It's worth asking what sizes you can order for dishes. For example, the lomo and pollo saltado come in two sizes. The smaller is perfect for one person. As it relates to service....yes, a little on the slower as it relates to wait time for food. However, the staff is always friendly, and they make sure to attend you appropriately. Personally, I would be suspicious if the food came out too soon. I look forward to my next visit! Cheers! ”
“ My favorite Peruvian restaurant. Lomo saltado is amazing and I love their pork chops. Food is consistent and good service. ”
“ This is a quaint place to eat relatively inexpensive and depending on the chef the food is great. ”
“ My boyfriend used to get this literally every day. When we first started dating I came here a few times & it was so good! We would get chicken with rice, avocado & a fried egg on top. I stopped coming because I stopped eating meat, fish & chicken & I found their vegetarian options were very few. Tonight I decided to come & try a few things off the side orders! I got rellenitos, black bean pupusa, white rice, an avocado, an egg & yucca fries. One thing I did notice was, mostly everything I ordered was fried..... I would give this place 5 stars for taste & everything but giving it 4 in hopes they read my review & maybe add in a few vegetarian / vegan options. Then, I will change it to 5! Everything was delicious & fresh. No complaints! Just too bad the vegetarian options are all fried :( ”
